Roadster Jump

Drive the Roadster Wiki car and jump the road junk. Tap to jump, tap again in the air for a thruster boost, tap with two fingers for a kickflip. It gets faster the longer you last.

How to play

• Phone: tap the road to jump. Tap again while in the air for one thruster boost. Tap with two fingers to kickflip.
• Computer: Space or ↑ to jump (press again in the air to boost), K or ↓ to kickflip. Right-click also kickflips.
• Watch the N₂ gauge (top left). Jumps use nitrogen; drive or jump through the blue N₂ canisters to refill.
• Every obstacle you clear is 1 point. Land a kickflip over an obstacle for +3. Land before the flip is finished and you crash.

The thrusters

The exhaust in the game follows what is known about the real car (see Flight and the SpaceX package). The thrusters are cold-gas: nitrogen stored at about 10,000 psi, so their jets are white, frosty vapor. The orange flame at the back is the Roadster Wiki logo look, kept for fun; the real car has no flame. Jumps fire altitude-control thrusters under the front and rear, and the gas spreads across the road. The four rear nozzles of the Thrust version fire for the launch. A kickflip fires the front thrusters alone to tip the nose up and over. The jumps themselves are made bigger for the game; the real car showed short thruster-assisted hops.

The N₂ gauge follows the Thrust version: a nitrogen tank filled to about 10,000 psi gives about five seconds of thrust. Every move uses the thrust it fires for (a jump about a quarter second, a kickflip a bit more, the launch almost a second), and the pressure drops as the tank empties. Drive through the N₂ canisters to refill; a real refill takes two to six hours. With an empty tank there is no thrust, so you cannot jump.
